Congratulations to the De Anza Cheer and Dance Competitive Dance Team for winning the National Championship for Senior Pom category. The dance team competed in the American Championship's American Masterpiece held at the San Jose Convention Center on January 23 and 24. After two days of competition, they met with judges on Saturday and received a score of 86.48 points out of 100. Each of the seven members of the team were awarded a medal, as well. Coach, C.J. Jones, and advisor, Melodie Cheney, both attended to give support to their team. There is now a banner and a plaque being displayed in the Fitness & Wellness Center.
